John's Marathon Success

John Cross ran his third (and final - see below!) London Marathon this year to raise funds for the nursery, and has raised more than £1000. Everyone connected to the Nursery is incredibly appreciative of John's efforts like to say a huge THANK YOU, while the children made a lovely card and a booklet of pictures and drawings which we sent on and which he was thrilled to receive!

John finished in an official time of 4 hours and 54 seconds, which we're told means he actually ran the distance in less than the four hours, given that it can take plenty of time just to get to the start line!

John's JustGiving.com page is still live, should you want to hop in to make a belated offering and drag the sum up to four figures!

Spring Jumble Sale

Our Spring Jumble Sale will take place on Saturday 27th February at the Loddon Lecture Theatre, from 10am - 12noon. As ever, donations or bric-a-brac will be welcomed, so if you have any good quality jumble (books, clothes, toys, media, etc), then please contact the nursery or bring it along between 8.30am - 10am on the day. Thank you!

Collection of Children and Belongings

the Brian Clarke Room is proving very popular to other users, which means we have to vacate the premises promptly at 12.30pm, having packed away all the toys and equipment. It is therefore much appreciated if you can collect your child promptly at 12pm (our policy states that persistent late collection will incur a minimum charge of £5.00).

Additionally, if your child is in nappies, please send a replacement nappy, nappy sacks and wipes in a named bag. For those little accidents, a change of clothes can be left on your child's peg in a named bag in case needed. We do have a few spare clothes, but find that children prefer their own. If your child does have to borrow our spare clothes, please wash and return them promptly.

Whe it's wet or muddy, we ask that you send an additional pair of shoes (plimsolls or slippers are fine) for your child to wear indoors. On arrival, they can be changed, and the named outdoor shoes left in the bottom of the rack.

Promotions Collections

We have now signed up to three new promotions to help us acquire new kit for the nursey. These are the Haven Holidays Pre-School Fun & Fitness Equipment Giveaway, Sainsbury's Active Kids 09 and Flora Let's Bake! To find out more, visit our new promotions page »
